Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Sunday ruled out running for president in 2024 — emphasizing that she's seeking reelection to the Senate and would be supporting President Joe Biden's reelection bid.
During an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," the Massachusetts Democrat told guest moderator Kristen Welker that she would not be jumping into presidential politics in two years and would be running for a third term to the upper chamber.
Welker asked Warren — who ran for president in 2020 — if she would rule out a presidential campaign if Biden reversed course and declined to run for the White House in 2024.
"I'm not running for president in 2024 — I'm running for Senate," she said. "President Biden is running for reelection in 2024 and I'm supporting him."

Warren, a former professor at Harvard Law School who proposed and helped create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, was one of the leading Democratic presidential candidates in 2020. Running on a populist agenda, she offered progressive policies that included the cancellation of student loan debt and investments in climate change initiatives, including a sweeping Green New Deal.
However, her campaign faltered after losses in the Iowa caucuses, the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries, and the string of Super Tuesday states — which included a defeat in her home state of Massachusetts at the hands of now-President Joe Biden. She came in third place in the Bay State, behind Biden and Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
Warren's comments came in response to Welker bringing up a potential campaign by Sanders, who previously ran for president in 2016 and 2020. Last Wednesday, The Washington Post reported that Sanders would consider a 2024 bid if Biden decided not to run for reelection, per a memo written by his former 2020 campaign manager.
Welker then pressed Warren again, asking if she'd dismiss any chance of a campaign.
"You can ask it any way you want, but I'm going to say the same thing," she said. "President Biden is running in 2024 and I'm supporting him."
